Every summer the municipal government of the town hold many activities of sport which is a combination of the traditional sports and the new sports. Among these sports also include windsurfing which is one of the more practiced nautical sports. During the season of summer the municipal government is permitted to promote many activities of sport, the most popular of which is the sport of windsurfing, thanks mainly to Lepe 's climate which allows water sports to be practiced the entire year.
Lepe has a twelve kilometer stretch of fine and golden sand, clear waters and three thousand sun hours in a year which is the perfect climate conditions for practicing water sports like windsurfing and sailing.
Golf
Islantilla is an ambitious 27-hole resort close to the beach, between Isla Christina and La Antilla , designed by the famous trio José Canales, Luis Recasens and Enrique.
It opened sometime in 1992 and the course already has hosted several international events, among which was the popular Turespaña Masters Open in 1995. The course is nestled in woodland scenery adjacent to La Antilla . It is an unadulterated, attractive parkland course and is enjoyable to play in mainly because of the open greens and fairways.
Islantilla Golf is part of an extensive tourist development project in this place, which includes a yacht harbor.
